For more than 10 years, Sheryl Lowe has been offering jewelry that combines surf and rock 'n' roll cultures to a female clientele. The Southern California designer will now launch her first collection of jewelry for men. Named Mr Lowe in reference to her actor husband Rob Lowe and her 2 children, it is a collection of men's jewelry that can be worn on a daily basis, which are decidedly masculine while having a touch of bling.
Men's bracelets, necklaces and rings
The Mr Lowe collection consists of men's rings, necklaces and bracelets. Cultural influences from all over the world as well as spiritual symbols are found on each of the jewels handcrafted in the designer's Santa Barbara studio. Many materials are used: sterling silver, sandalwood, black coral, hematite, crystal, pearls and even diamonds.
"I created the Mr Lowe collection for different profiles of men: the outdoorsman, the adventurer, the traveler, the artist and the cool executive, " explained Sheryl Lowe, whose stackable style that made her reputation can be found in this collection that tries to find a compromise between classicism and avant-garde. “I like to mix genres, metals and stones with wood, African motifs, shells. It helps bring out the cool guy in every man. »
Rob Lowe is conquered
“ I love my Mr Lowe men's bracelets. These are my uniform, I wear them every day, " said Rob Lowe, who also likes to wear a triangle ring that represents the present, the past and the future.
Sheryl says it was thanks to her husband's encouragement that she had the courage to get into jewelry design. This former professional make-up artist had already created a line of cosmetics. She had also designed jewelry for her friends, notably for Maria Shriver, before setting up on her own. " I need to work, that's how I am. I've been working since I was 16, " she said.
The men's jewelry from the Mr Lowe collection will initially be on sale exclusively via the Neiman Marcus website from mid-December. These necklaces, rings and men's bracelets will then be available in Neiman Marcus, Bergdof Goodman stores and 60 hand-picked jewellery stores.
